The village from the air in low sun, white houses set into the hillside — 01 / 33

Kapou is in Gerani, a village ten minutes west of Rethymno. People have to decide to drive out there.

So I photographed the village as part of the bar. The mugs came out with me, onto a stone ledge, a fence, the seat of a motorbike. The ochre walls and the hard afternoon shadow did the rest.

The pattern on those mugs is what people recognise in the feed now. Being out of town reads as the reason to come rather than the reason not to.
